A Look Around

A portal appeared out of nowhere, swirling in shades of purple and black. The darkness crackeled as it opened a hole in space.

Quietly, a solemn figure stepped out of the portal, a long black coat drawn around him, hood up covering his face. His arms lay gently at his sides as he stepped out of the darkness, looking up at the night sky. "So this is Traverse Town eh? Might be a nice place to cause a little havoc."

Crossing his arms over his chest the man began to walk down the streets.

Inside one of the bedrooms of the Inn, a sleeping body stirred and violently awoke.

"I really shouldn't try crossing worlds in a freaking sailboat anymore," he thought to himself mildly as he pulled himself out of bed, "My dreams didn't used to star creepy hooded figures."

He looked out the window and saw exactly the same hooded man who he just referred to. "That can't be good. That usually isn't ever good." He grabbed his bow, sword, and pants, and started his way outside.

As Axel walked he heard a bell jingle behind him, signaling the opening of the inn door. He glanced back a little, seeing a boy following him; A sword and bow in hand. Lokking back ahead of himself Axel grinned. Was the boy looking for a fight? For his sake Axel hoped it was just coincedence he was being followed.

He picked up his pace a little, quickly rounding a corner into District three. When he was out of the boy's sight he spun around, waiting for the boy to run into him.

Rai saw the man dart down a side road, apparently now running. He then followed suit, and broke into a dead sprint around the bend only to run full force into the man and knock them both over. Even if the man had expected him to follow, he sure didn't expect that.

Rai scrambled for his sword which had been knocked away from him...

As he grabbed it, he looked up, and the man was gone. Apparently, he had been caught completely off guard, and didn't want to fight without the advantage.

Rai picked himself up and started to walk down the street. He could hear shouts down the street, but he didn't want to fight if he didn't have to. He continued meandering. The shouts and clink of weaponry went away, and a light rain began to fall.

He stared up at the clouds as he walked, thoughts lost in multiple worlds. His foot, like in any other step, rose and fell. What was different this time was that nothing stopped it. It kept going, and Rai had just enough time to look down and see the muddy brown hole that he was quickly falling through...
